Every time I visit my sister in Oregon, I try to visit a flower field. I wanted to create one post with the ultimate round up of flower fields around Portland, Oregon. I will include the times to visit and the exact location of each field.
WEST UNION GARDEN
Hillsboro, Oregon
West Union Gardens is absolutely breathtaking. You can take photos at any time, and we went during the golden hour. You can even take pictures when the farm is closed. They ask for a small donation to take photos! The best time to visit is from late August/Early September.
SWAN ISLAND DAHLIAS
Canby, Oregon
Swan Island Dahlia Festival has rows and rows of beautiful Dahlias. It’s fascinating to see the different types of dahlias. It takes place during the last two weekends in August. The location is not that large, but because of the variety of plants, you definitely can spend a long time here.
WOODEN SHOE TULIP FARM
Woodbury, Oregon
This festival takes place from March 23rd-April 29th. Be wary of the weather report. When I went, it suddenly started to torrentially rain. I mean to the point I was afraid my camera was going to break. So, unfortunately, I was only actually at the location for less than 30 minutes. It can be a complete mud pit! But it's beautiful! We also then got the entire place pretty much to ourselves.
LAVENDER VALLEY
Hood River, Oregon
We visited Hood River Lavender Farm in mid-august. The plants were beginning to dry out. The festival takes place from July 8th to 9th. I felt like I was on the set of the sound of music. I would love to go to this location again because when we went, it was not planned. I want to go back here again and do a photoshoot with a different outfit. When we went, it was pretty much empty.
